Cada año el primero de diciembre, se conmemora el Día Mundial de Sida. En esta fecha, gente de todo el mundo se une a apoyar a las personas que viven con el VIH y recordar a aquellas que han fallecido debido a enfermedades relacionadas con el Sida. Cada año adopta un tema diferente, por ejemplo: Poner fin a las desigualdades, poner fin al Sida y a las pandemias. Se crea conciencia a nivel mundial por medio de actividades, alzando la voz sobre temas de apoyo y solidaridad hacia personas con esta enfermedad.
